My life as a student at St. Joseph by-the-Sea High School was unforgettable. In addition to receiving an education that prepared me for college and professional life; many aspects of my personality were developed during this time as well. My involvement in track and field gave me a love for a sport that I am still very much involved in. I have developed friendships that have lasted into adulthood and have grown and evolved over time. This school, and the friendships and skills that I learned here will always play an important role in my life. The Alumni Association is a way that Sea can remain an important part of your life as well.
Educator John Dewey believed that schools were centers which taught not only academics, but how to participate in society. Sea’s alumni are a shining example of this philosophy; they participate on the school’s Board of Trustees, coach athletic teams, moderate after school activities and help students with college and career advice. Several more alumni are administrators, teachers and counselors. In addition, there are thousands of Sea alumni who help improve our society, through their families, careers and generosity; they are truly strong role models for today's students.
It is my hope that you will utilize this website to help stay connected and informed on upcoming alumni events, programs, volunteer opportunities and our expanding alumni services. This site is also here to help you reconnect with those you may have lost contact with over the years as well as catch up on what is happening at the school. Best of all, a visit to your alma mater doesn’t even require you to leave your home, so please visit often. If I can ever be of assistance to you, feel free to contact me directly at mackeyr@josephsea.org
