Headed by Dr. Sara Guargiglia, one of three Ph.D’s on staff at Sea, the Internship in Neuroscience is designed to give students hand on experience doing research on issues such as Alzheimer’s Disease and Autism. Dr. Guargiglia is also on the research team at Colombia University, and through this relationship our students have the ability for their research to be published in scientific medical journals. An opportunity that some colleges and universities aren’t able to offer.

Through a partnership with Staten Island University Hospital, Sea students are able to participate in a medical internship program. Students learn hands on about various medical fields including Physicians Assistant, Sports Medicine, Physical Therapy, Nursing and more. In addition to work in the field, there is also a lecture component taught by medical professionals. In its third year, this program has been highly successful in preparing students for college.

Our Legal Internship Program pairs Sea students with attorney across the island, and allows them to learn about this field hand on. In addition to visiting the law offices, the attorneys also visit Sea for the lecture portion of the internship. Various sectors of law are available including Personal Injury, Matrimonial, and more.
